    Preferred frozen rodent vendor?

Is there a sort of industry standard preferred frozen rodent dealer? Seen a couple of ads up here and not sure where to go. It would be ideal if they had more than one delivery day per week, and especially ideal if they ship every day (except weekends or whatever.)

    Thanks!

There are a LOT of online sites that sell frozen feeders. Some big names are RodentPro, MiceDirect, Layne Labs, LLLReptile. I recommend buying in bulk, because shipping is going to cost less in the long run if you can fill the box.

I personally recommend MiceDirect. They're relatively local to me and I've been to their facility for pickups. Nice, clean, professional, and the prices are great.

I love Layne Labs. They always have really clean rodents, and the packaging is top shelf.

Anybody know of one that, if I ordered today, would ship to me by Friday? This has become the new priority as I've apparently underestimated the time you need to order beforehand.

With that kind of urgency, I'd strongly recommend calling first. Waiting until two days before you need something to order it is pushing it for any company no matter what the product is. Good luck!

Side note: Loxahatchee Rodents is my vendor of choice, but they only ship on Mondays.

See if you can find someone local to your area that might breed rats. I know there are quite a few of us on here that breed and help out others in our local areas.

    Preferred frozen rodent vendor?

Yeah I'd say check local, throw an add on cl if needed. I sell all of my extras on cl as frozen feeders an I see others that do the same

Procrastination on my fault. I assumed I'd be able to do this more short-notice, meanwhile I haven't fed my new pickup yet and I got her last Tuesday, which was probably her normal feeding day or near then. Doubt she's quite on the verge of death, but I'm hoping to feed her before the week is out.

That being said I just called Layne Labs based on the above review and their site, and I think they're probably going to get some shipped out to me today. So problem most likely solved.

I can easily get frozen mice of the proper size, but this girl was raised on rats and I'd rather not spoil her back to mice.
