    Low tide... Tons of pics

We had one of the lowest tides of the spring/ summer this weekend. And we are fortunate enough to have a great beach with some awesome tide pools. Some of the pics aren't as great as I'd have liked, but it was raining. So I just pulled out the camera and snapped quick pics. I didn't stop to look until after that fact when I was home where It was dry. I didn't want to chance ruining the camera. So, here we go.

    Snail

    These clams were huge.

    Gooey ducks.

These shells are from moon snails

These "plungers" are moon snail eggs

A shrimp. He's hard to see. In the middle right under my watermark.

    No clue what this is.

    Crab

All kinds of anenomes and sea cucumbers

This one is called a Christmas anenome

This one reminded me of a sliced onion

These ones looked like cinnamon rolls

Starfish. We saw 4 or 5 different kinds.

This particular one was about 24-26" across. I should have put something in the photo for size comparison.

    Underside of a starfish

    Baby star fish

Thanks for taking the time to look.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Hubby said it was called a sea pen or something. It actually looked nothing like a star fish leg.

There are always tons of star fish here. But yesterday there were more than normal. The only kind we didn't see that are usually there are the blue ones.
