Drying out shed
Hey everyone,
my first snake had her first shed, so to celebrate so many firsts, I was thinking I could frame her shed? Is that possible? For how long do I need to dry it to safely preserve it?
Anything else I should know?
The shed came off completely in 2 big pieces, also the eyecaps and everything, so I am happy: )
Thank you in Advance!

Re: Drying out shed
I wouldn't let it sit for more than a day. Once it dries out it's gonna be harder to work with and might crumble when putting it in the frame.

I have a skin shed that is roughly 11 years old. It's been rolled and unrolled many times and is fine. It's like rice paper, as long as you're careful with it it'll be good for a very long time.

Yep being careful helps! I don't have ones that old tho lol but the ones I keep I just roll up and be careful when I do something with them.

Re: Drying out shed
Laminate it! I laminate skins regularly for use at presentations. Easiest with little sheds, but if you get creative you can laminate a longer one too.
