    Hungry Hungry Hogs

These girls are about 48 hours out of their brumation and already pounding back f/t XL mice (lightly dusted in Cal w/D3); I am hoping to get some more 25 egg+ clutches out of them. They are going to be paired to my small Anaconda het Albino male, who may not yet be ready to take on girls of their size, so if he can't cut the cake, my red het axanthic poss het albino male will have to step in. Either way, that should give me plenty of hold back females and a lot of hogs for those who have been after them.

I keep humid boxes in with my females at all times; they are on the hot end while their water dish stays on the cool end; they tend to spend a lot of time in them right after coming out of brumation.

    500g+

    450g+

Here is the small male I am hoping is ready for the job of locking up with those two girls

And my female conda who is gorgeous, but has at least a couple years to go before she will be ready to breed

    Should be a good season!

Nice hogs! Definitely don't underestimate small males with large females. I had a 70g 1st year male successfully breed a 600g female. I just got 18 good eggs from her a week or two ago. I wasn't sure it would happen but it did!

I have witnessed a paltry 35g male successfully court and breed a 500g female in a short period of time; I have high hopes for my conda male.

Nice! When you put them together there is that moment of "no way he can breed her," but then they surprise you.
