I keep both exactly the same. In my snake room it runs, in general, 78 to 84. None of the kings or corns have any supplemental heat. The kings probably could tolerate more than the corns, since I'm in the middle of CalKing territory, but they do fine without extremes. I cool all my adults in the winter, corns and kings, in my garage and they get down to the low 30s even upper 20s.
CalKings as babies are pissants. They pee and poop and hiss and rattle their tails like there's no tomorrow. Once they outgrow that, generally a little regular handling will take care of it-once they know you're not trying to eat them they mellow out- they're one of the best pet snakes I've ever dealt with. It's why I have so many.
