    Firefly vs. Super Pastel?

Does anyone else think that these two morphs look nearly alike? I know they are different genetically (fire x pastel vs. pastel x pastel) but honsetly when I look at pictures of them, I always seem to see a super pastel. Both are gorgeous, but what would be the markers that define the firefly away from the SP?

Firefly has a more creamy yellow and darker blacks. If you look at slightly larger snakes it's easier to tell if you are new at it.

If no one else posts a picture for you, I will tomorrow if my 2 similar in weight are not in shed. And no, I do not think they look alike what soever.

    Re: Firefly vs. Super Pastel?

Fireflies maintain their colors better and have more flames.

I personally prefer a quality firefly over a quality super pastel.

If you look at the price tag of both animals, there's a reason why fireflies are more expensive.

This exactly. Adding a fire gene goes a lot further than adding another pastel gene in my opinion.

Assuming you're going for high quality animals, of course.

    Firefly vs. Super Pastel?

I will sum it up like this:
Super pastel = partially sunny day, no need for sunglasses

Firefly = Bright sunny beach day, definitely sunglasses needed and sunblock

Here is a comparison for you as I work with a lot of fire gene's it is sometimes hard to tell but as long as the animals are good quality you can deff tell the difference..

    Super pastel

    Fire Fly

    Super blushed Fire Fly

As it might be hard to tell but there is usually a separation between the yellow on a super pastel(meaning the bottom tends to be brighter and then a little darker on the top). Where a fire fly tends to blend the yellow consistently and even the blushing tends to be different. Hope this helps...
