Transition from F/T to live?
So I've come to the conclusion that live feeders are more readily accessible and a good deal cheaper in my area. My question is, how do I make the transition? Do I just offer Magnus a live prey? He's not been fed live since I got him. Does there need to be a slower transition? I'm not sure how to ease the transition from dead to live, haha. Any tips?

I have found that most of my collection that have been on f/t their entire life are scared of live rats and won't even get near them. Just get something smaller than usual and throw it in there and watch closely. The smell of a live rat may confuse him as well... just watch closely and he will be fine.

He's only a year or so (I've had him since 2 or 3 months), so I'm wondering if it'll affect him that way. I guess no harm no foul. Of course I'll watch him closely, what's the general rule of thumb, 15-20 minutes, right?

EDIT: Looked a little further into this option, thanks Oni! This looks actually really cheap and simple.

I also agree to try with a smaller meal than usual just because they are usually afraid of live after eating f/t. the CO2 chamber is also a good idea
