Again, using lavender albinos isn't a good example. There is actually great explanation and it has nothing to do with the market. The toffee/candy compatibility drove their prices down. Toffinos were now beautiful and sold cheaply. Toffinos are a more impressive animal than a lavender in my opinion, and in the opinions of many consumers. Let alone toffees/candys are even more impressive than the rest and are already seen in the 5-10k range. As the toffee/candy project saw prices fall due to toffinos, I believe lavenders have been hit the hardest.
Now, saying high end projects will depreciate... I'm guessing you're meaning the banana project. Males make males that make males that make males. There is nothing wrong with the market. It's simply the project is the strangest EVER for production, so it has depreciated rapidly and will continue to do so. However, that is NOT the direct result of our market. It's actually the exact opposite. I think the more affordable that project will be, the MORE money will continue to come into the industry.
Snakes are selling right now for $7500-$10000. I have numerous projects people want to invest in because they believe they will make more money on them.
Scaring the ball python market into thinking its crashing is absolutely false in my book. The more people that get out and sell animals for cheap, the better others will be able to profit from their losses. People always want to buy the next best morph. It's not going to change until the next best more ceases to exist and I don't seen that happening anytime soon.
So who wants a bamboo?
