    Purchasing

    Hello Everyone,
I'm looking to buy a ball python but I can't find any breeders in South Carolina near the Columbia area. Do anyone know of any breeders within a hour drive of Columbia, SC?

Welcome! If you can't find a local breeder, for some extra money you can have a snake shipped to your house. It is safe when given proper care and packaging. Make sure to order from a reputable breeder, and have a same-day transaction of the snake and the money just in case.

Another option (if you don't want them shipped) is going to reptile expos. Breeders from all over gather to sell their snakes.

Repticon has three in your state: one in Columbia (it's coming in July so not too far away), one in Greenville, and one in Charleston. There may be some smaller expos near you as well. If you go to Kingsnake.com and click on "events" it will show you all the local shows. Shows are a great place to meet new breeders and even seen snakes in person.

I've been to the one in Charleston. I think its coming up soon, maybe in August? I don't know how long you want to wait though.

Also, I think Alan Bosch Reptiles is close to Columbia (or at least within an hour drive--he's just north of Charleston I believe): https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alan-...21899677834381

looks like he has some pieds coming soon

Yes I live in the columbia area as well, and I can't find a breeder here as well. However the columbia reptile show is great. Is Alan Bosch a breeder in s.c.?

Wait for repticon to come back to Columbia in July! You won't be disappointed.
