    Jungle Morph - ??

Can anyone tell me about the Jungle Morph? How to ID it, What it will do for your breeding program?
I checked the World of Ball Python morph list, but there is only one picture there an,d to this untrained eye, it doesn't look all that special. There is a youtube video comparing the Jungle to a normal and it just looks like a high yellow normal to me.

I can get a 4 yr old unsexed Jungle morph for $125.00 I'd like to know that it IS what it is advertised to be and if I should get it for my collection.

    Thanks - Andy-

    Jungle Morph - ??

Jungle or Jungle pastel? Jungle pastels are now just called pastels. The Jungle morph has a wacky pattern with a less-emphasized dorsal stripe (alien heads often extend over the back). Jungle is also used by some people as a synonym for "wild-type" or "normal." Your price point seems low for the jungle "morph", but pictures would go a long way in helping us determine what you're looking at.

In my day jungle described a busy, clean pattern with wide loops and a teardrop under the eye.

It never proved to be genetic though.

    That's a beautiful animal!
I can see the difference between the photo and a normal with the irregular pattern. It appears to have a lot of white towards the belly and bright yellow orange color as well. I'm not seeing a 'teardrop' behind the eye though.
Here's a photo of the one for sale:

Comparing the two, I would guess the one for sale is NOT the Jungle morph. Maybe it's a Pastel Jungle??

I think I also heard that pastels used to be called jungle pastels, that's just prolly what the owner understood. Looks like an regular pastel.

Wish I could 'POP' a snake. If it were a female, I'd get it. That's a good price for an adult pastel.
I've been trying to pop my known-male snakes now for 6 months and still can't do it. I don't try that often for fear of hurting them. There's plenty of time for me to figure it out.

    Jungle Morph - ??

From the above description I believe my BP might be a jungle pastel. Any opinions?

Certainly has the interesting pattern. Seems to have a lot of blushing on the dorsal too.
Can you take a photo in natural light? The color in your photo is awfully yellow.

It's pretty hard to pop adults. Probing is easier and more accurate.
