    Let's Play Werewolf!!

    Greetings all

Just hoping to get some feedback on how many people would be interested in playing a little game here on the BP forums. It's fun, non-violent, and could help draw the community closer together.

The game is called Werewolf (or in some circles Mafia). The game requires 12-24 people, and the plot line revolves around a small town that is set upon by a group of werewolves (or mafia thugs). During the night phase of the game (where the town sleeps), the Werewolves emerge, and devour one of the helpless citizens ("townies", who will thus be removed from play). In the day phase, the Werewolves return to normal, and appear to everyone to be townies. The town members consult with each other to try and identify a wolf in their midst, based on previous day's play and the night actions (more on that in a minute). They all vote on who is a wolf, and when the proper number of votes is reached, that person is lynched (removed from play). This advances into the next night phase, where the wolves come out again to consume another townie.

However, the townies are not without night actions; there is usually a seer (or cop) who has the ability to determine at night the alignment (either town or wolf) of ONE person. There is also usually a Doctor (same in both versions) who has the ability to protect one person each night from death.

These alternations between day and night continue until A: the last wolf is killed or B: the wolves outnumber the town (after which point they have the majority vote for who to lynch in the day). Condition A: Town wins Condition B: the wolves win.

There are also other roles that can be added in. There can be Serial Killers (SK), who have a town win condition (win con) or an Independent win con (that person can win the game if they are the last one standing) ; they usually have a limited number of night kills that they can make based on whoever they feel is a threat. There can be Freemasons, who are aware of who each other are, and that all of the masons are townies (just as the wolves know who each other are). There can be Alpha Wolves (or Godfathers) who will turn up to the seer as being town aligned but are really the wolf in charge of things. There can be Role Blockers, who can choose a person at night to block all actions taken by or performed on that person. There can be Strongmen, who can choose to make the wolf night kill unstoppable.

These are only a small number of the possibilities for this game. That's what makes it fun; the game is never the same way twice.

So, If you are interested in potentially playing, or have any questions, please let me know via this thread. THIS IS NOT THE START OF A WEREWOLF GAME!! This is only to field any questions and see how much interest there is in this game.

If I get enough people who are interested in playing, I will contact the administration and see if this is something that is allowed (I figured it would be better to see if y'all are interested before bothering them with it).

Thanks for looking, and hope to hear from you soon!

    LETS PLAY WEREWOLF!!!!

Ummmmm...this is a forum dedicated to the care of reptiles. While we enjoy a certain degree of off topic chit-chat and foolery, and sometimes serious off topic discussions...we try to keep things mostly on topic. There is no place in these forums for an intricately involved role playing game. The one exception for that might be if you subscribed to the platinum level of membership and opened up your own private sub-forum.

Sounds like fun to me! But yeah it may distract from the main point of the forum...

Okej; since I don't have $75.00 to shell out for that, I guess this topic is officially defunct.....
