    One thing I noticed in a few of those pics is that the hatchlings have very small eyes and large ocular scales. Looks like effects of incubation fluctuation to me.

    i love those neck spots, and it looks like one of the parents was carrying granite ....

    Thats what I thought too...unfortunately it would have to be their deceased mom the father survived the tragedy and lives on to produce 2 clutches for me with different females and the resulting clutches had no granite markings at all.
