PROBABLY a dumb question but here goes...
When your babies hatch from their eggs in the incubator where do you move them too? The mom and dad area or a space their own? And what substrate would you use?

Most people will leave all babies in the incubator until they've all come out of the egg. Usually they'll switch from whatever substrate they had in the egg box to moist paper towel.
Then they'll move them (each or together) to another tub with moist paper towel until they have their first shed.

I separate them into their on bin as they come completely out of the egg.

We maternally incubate, but as the babies leave the egg they go into the incubator. We keep the clutch together until they finish their first shed. Then they go into their own tubs in the incubator.

If you maternally incubate, why do you put the clutch into an incubator after they have their first shed?
Wouldn't it be better to put them in a hatchling rack?

I like to keep them together until they shed, and the tubs in the incubator are a bit bigger. Plus we keep them on moist paper towels until they shed. The incubator just seems to hold humidity better. Really, I am sure it would work fine to put them directly into the rack, but this has been working really well so I see no need to change. Before we usrd maternal incubation, we left the babies together in the incubator until they shed so I think that is where the habit came from.

Some clutches I pull as they emerge and put them into their own 6qt tub on damp paper towels and others I put into a 28qt tub together on damp paper towels until they shed and then they go into their own tubs.
Both ways work fine.

I put all the babies from a clutch together into a hatchling rack bin until they shed the first time. Then each baby gets it's own bin.
Substrate for both are sprayed paper towels.
