Sorry but MOST pastels do look pretty much the same as adults. Just like Super pastels. They are so much brighter as babies than a normal pastel, yet after they get older they are almost just as "brown" looking. Only real difference is the blushing and head pattern. I have seen supers that big breeders have used that are just as brown as some uglier pastels. Age and size does make all the difference in how they look. The older and bigger they are the more browned they look.
The picture and lighting only matter so much. You can't polish a turd. Sure you can make it look better. But if it doesn't look good to start with, something as simple as lighting isn't going to make a very big difference.
