My snake is out too. I'm going to try your bottle trap tomorrow. I think he's still small enough to fit in there

If you need a larger opening, a Gatorade bottle or the Crystal Geyser gallon water jug will work. Just put a cloth around the opening inside the bottle so he can go in, but not out.(if you get what I mean)

Thank you! I'm really hoping she turns up. I was hoping with last night being feeding night she would turn up but no I can't imagine her being out for weeks or even a couple months. I was hoping it would be a quick find.

we are going to try using a trap next. My daughter has a hamster so we are going to try the hamster bedding. That's for the great idea and the pic.

    Good luck with your baby.
Try making a trap and fix it to a wall or something. Put some feeder bedding in it. Or even a FT. Covering part of it will make it seem like a secure hidey spot for the snake too.

I wonder if buying a rat and leaving it in a box with a lot of holes (so its scent can easily escape) will attract the snake... Has that ever been done?

I personally would buy 3-4 small mouses so its cheap and put them around the house (until my mom punched me in the face I guess lol).

Knowing my luck they would get loose and then I would have both running around the house lol. My husband would freak.

i thought about using the hamster as bait. I naturally assured my daughter I would keep him safe. Although that is the meanest little bugger. You need to put food in when he is sleeping or else he comes out and attacks you hand. We have a fairly large guinea pig that lives downstairs the snake could get in that cage...great now I need to figure out what to do with Oreo.

Thanks! It has not been easy. I wake a few times at night and I get up to check. I'm at the point where I'm so tired by early evening so it's not something I can continue doing long term. The experiences others have shared helps and I'm just going to hold onto hope that one night she will show up.
