FYI, www.pvccages.com does in fact sell his cages preassembled if you so wish. And you can get them complete with heat, removable doors, and removable perches too. I got mine from Jim at pvccages and the workmanship is excellent. I'd buy from him again in a heartbeat.
I also have a large adult male at about 5ft and I have a 3x2x2 cage for him. I would not go smaller. He uses most every inch of his cage and enjoys stretching out in it. A 2x2x2 cube is what I consider the minimum. If you plan to breed, I would use the 3x2x2 as a minimum for the female. There should be enough room for a laybox and you can introduce the male temporarily in order to service the female.![]()
