I was cruising Craigslist and found a guy giving away his pastel female because she had a blister and he didn't know how to make it better. It was what I believe is blister disease and she had managed to pop some on her bottom. They looked very bad. I took her in and put her in quarantine and cleaned her up with some betadine and put her on paper towels. I'll post pics in an hour or so but has anyone had any past experience with popped blisters or blister disease? I put a bit of neosporin on it (even though I don't normally cuz of the scales turning to mush thing) but it really didn't look good. But advice and comments needed!

Without pictures it isn't really possible for us to know how bad it is etc.

I'd say the best alternative would be what the original owner should have done and take it to a vet.

If she was mine I'd get a course of antibiotics to go with the paper towls etc.

Hopefully that should stop it in its tracks and help with the healing.

It looks like it could be scale rot or a burn to me. Are they just on her belly or all over? I agree with dr del. A vet visit for some antibiotics is a good plan. You may also be able to get a prescription for some silver sulfadiazine (SSD) cream. It's a burn cream, but for snakes it works better than neosporin because it's not petroleum based so it doesn't cause the individual scale shedding/mushy scales.

Okay thanks guys! I've scheduled a vet visit. Also I have used the cream every few days (the one described above) it was prescribed for myself for burns. If you wish to know how I got burns google perrysburg Parking lot car fire and please go to a reliable site and not the sites that claim me to be a terrorist lol. She should be going in tomorow if everything goes to plan
