Ball Python Off Feed.. and Drink?

    Hi,

My female BP hit 900 grams then went off feed. She has not eaten for almost 2 months now. I understand that this is normal, however I noticed she has not been drinking either. There has been no pee or poo for 2 months.

Otherwise she seems completely normal and is currently at 860 grams.

    Sent from my Z10.

It's rare to catch a ball python drinking. It's also normal to not have any poop or pee for a few months.

All sounds completely normal. Also I doubt you'd get too much poop or pee with no food intake.

Yep just keep her temps/humidity up to par and she will come back around.

If your setup is correct, she's fine. She's at that age/size where they tend to fast. So frustrating, because they like to do it just when you think they are getting close to breeding size.

I'm having the same problem with one of my females that's about the same weight. I was concerned since I didn't think she was breeding size yet.

Now I'm not worring as much. Still worring though - tis my nature.

I think they like to go off feed at that age/size to be difficult. They eat like crazy, make us think they will hit breeding size soon, decide they're not ready and just quit.

if the snake is healthy and not losing weight I wouldn't worry, its just a thing snakes like to do to us to stress us out.
