    Nala broke her hunger strike!!!

Today I was so excited!! My normal girl Nala FINALLY broke her hunger strike!! She hasn't eaten in a month and a half, and I was getting worried. She had refused everything I had offered her previously, even a live rat. Well, today at feeding day I tried a F/T African Soft Fur rat, and though she didn't grab it at first, I left it in her cage and left the room for a while. When I checked back a while later it was gone!! I couldn't believe it! I just hope it keeps up and she continues to eat. Previously she had been eating small/medium rats, so I was wondering if I should try one of those next week on feeding day or another ASF? Whatever she'll eat is what I'll feed her! I never thought I'd be so happy to see a snake eat! Whoo hooo!!

Congrats, thats always a good feeling to see them eat! Id stick with what she ate today! Atleast long enough for her to be eating steadily again.

    Nala broke her hunger strike!!!

Thanks so much! I'll stick with ASF's for a while then! Just thought of something- once she's back & eating good--can I start scenting a rat with an ASF? Just curious--I did this when I moved her from mice to rats when she was younger.
