Corn without UTh

I have kept corns for extended periods of time without additional heat. I kept the snake room above 80 during that time, but there were times it dropped to around 75. All of those snakes ate, pooped and grew normally. One of my friends keeps hers at room temperature. He's doing great. I don't think corns are as sensitive to temperature as more exotic snakes are. They are native to an area where the temperature fluctuates a lot. If you've ever been to VA it could snow one week, and the following week you are heading to the beach because its 80 degrees outside.

I stopped heating my corns a long time ago. They do just fine in normal house temps - at least here in TX. So long as it doesn't get too hot you'll be fine. These guys tolerate cooler temps just fine - it's too hot that will kill them.

ok love all replys. atm she is in a 20 long with a che i occasional turn on and let get to 80, turn off and then with ambiant temp it stay uper 70s all day and before bed let it get back up to 80 cause our NC night have been cold this week.

What temperature do you keep them? I've thought about not heating my corns as I have found there is absolutely no change in their appetite or growth. A few of my corns currently are unheated as the heat tape broke during our move and I haven't been able to replace it yet. They are doing fine. Temp is about 72-74.

It's room temp. It never gets cooler than 65 or warmer than 82. Probably 74-78 80% of the time. In the winter when it's in the 60s most of the time inside I feed less often as their metabolism slows down some.

I don't live in the US so don't know the temperature but snakes need to thermo regulate so should have a hot and cold end of their enclosure.
