egg question

When a snake lays its eggs and they stick together is it ok to incubate them stuck together or do you have to sperate them because mine were not coming apart and i wasnt forcing it

Its fine to leave them together. Not a problem at all.

The only problem with leaving the clump together is that if one DOES rot it could affect the others. It usually won't, but if it does start to affect the other eggs you can cut the bad one out of the clutch at that time.

I usually like to separate mine, if I can catch them in time. That allows me to arrange them in the egg box in an efficient manner. Sometimes when they are all stuck together, a side or top egg will touch the egg box or top. If that is the case, I move the clutch to a bigger tub. I'm about 50/50 on catching them and separating them. In both cases, they hatch out just fine.

I'm pretty sure they are adapted in this way naturally to avoid rolling of the eggs. As they are laid they get shifted around and when the mom tucks them into a pile they stick to ensure that they wont shift during the incubation process.
