What on earth did my python produce?
My male bumblebee is a very stereotypic ball python, he rests most of the day, and is very active at night. I have had him for 5 days now, and he hasn't eaten (but he ate a week ago so that isn't a problem). Anyway, I woke up to find a small inch and a half long white piece of something. I thought it was a baby rat until I took it out of the cage and noticed its fiber like quality. It seemed to me like a torn paper towel. My only clue is that he was taken home in a container with a small paper towel bottom. Is it likely he nervously ate one of these pieces. It seemed to be regurgitated but I'm not entirely sure. Anything?

Possibly. I tossed it in the garbage this morning before I went to school. It could still be there, I get home in an hour. The snake is fine, actually way better than normal.

Re: What on earth did my python produce?
maybe the snake has some intestinal parasites / tapeworm going on. the end of a tapeworm repeatedly breaks off and leaves the snake. But then it shouldnt be fibrous, more like white spaghetti.
hard to tell.

How big is he? Could it possibly have been a sperm plug?

Pics would help. Here are some thoughts. White might be urates, but you probably wouldn't use the words "fiber like quality" for that. Urates are kinda chalky. Sometimes snakes will make a poop that has a really high % of it undigested fur from their prey. So if he's been eating white mice/rats, then that might be possible, altho I'd think it would come out as a rather dirty white, not pure white. Regurge usually stinks pretty bad, but if he did eat a piece of paper towel and then regurge it, I spose that might not be nearly as stinky as a regurged food item.

Id say urates, but pics with a high quality camera that takes good closeups would help.
