    Silicon 1 100% silicon?

My girlfriend brought home a cool ceramic flower pot for our ball the other day, but he won't use it because it's way too open and he can't actually hide in it. We can tell he explores it at night because the substrate is always pushed out of the way like he's trying to hide. It's flat on one side because it's meant to be mounted on a wall and I made a cover for the opening, with a hole obviously, that comes off easily so I can get him out of there if I want too. I made the cover out of plastic, and attached a piece of brown reptile carpet to the front of it for a little more curb appeal. The "glue" I used to attach the carpet is Silicon 1 100% silicon because I've read everywhere that it's reptile safe. My question: how long should I wait before I put it in his enclosure? The stuff smells awful, and I can imagine it would be much worse for him. It's been drying outside since yesterday, but still.....just barely smells. He has a favorite hide that he is always in, so I'm not in a hurry. Just curious. Thanks!

    Silicon 1 100% silicon?

Look and see if there is a cure time on the tube or package.

Wait untill you can't smell it anymore, could be a week or 2. And you wanna make sure you use the Window and door version, the bathroom silicone has mold inhibitors in it that leach toxins

I already made sure it was JUST silicon....no additives.

The cure time is 30 minutes...but it still smelled a day later. I don't smell it any more so I'm going to put it inside a shoebox and let it sit for a couple hours to see if it stinks up the box. If it doesn't smell after that....into the cage it goes. Thanks
