    Is this a Yellow Belly?

Yup, it's time for this game again. My untrained eye says yes based off of other threads and a video, but I'm not going to take my word for it cuz I don't know jack squat. It was sold to me as a Pastel, but the breeder said it MIGHT be a YB too. He claims to have lost track of the heredity. I got a decent deal for him ($40) so I'm not going to cry if he isn't, but if he is then that'll definitely influence my buying decision for my next pair. I'd love to produce some Ivories.

Makes me wonder what the breeder thought he saw. I don't think he was joshing me to make the sale since I'd already agreed to the price for it as a pastel before he dropped that nugget.

Edit: Oops, sorry! Didn't know I wasn't supposed to drop the S-bomb around here. My bad!

The YB gene effects more than just the belly lol. That does not appear to be one though. I think its a pastel, as andrew said.

Yup, I read the stuff about the flames and the head, but I'll be damned if I can really see the difference. Oh, well. I was kinda hoping to pick up another and maybe produce an Ivory. I still might, actually, just not in the first generation.

    Thanks for your help!

Does not have any of the belly checkering you would normally see on a yb

YB has flames that are usually orangey in colour. That's a straight up pastel.
