Weird behavior in baby Spider Ball Python
Ok I know I being overly worried here, but I thought I would ask anyways. I have a baby Spider Ball Python who I hatched out at the end of last year, is a strong feeder, growing great, sheds beautiful. She does have a wobble and corkscrews a little, but nothing that has affected her ability to eat or anything. Over all she is a very friendly snake to handle. I am use to her normal Spider weirdness of crawling around her tub and doing her wobble and corkscrew, but this morning I walked in and found her curled up and staring at the ceiling of her tub. This is a new behavior, I mean she has always held her head a little funny, but this was straight up, her neck wasn't stretched out or anything, just sitting there with her head close to her pointing straight up. I heard someone say something about something called IBD, what is that? What are the symptoms? And could this be what is going on? I hope not. I pulled her out and she was normal acting. Crawling around and stuff and exploring. Thanks

Pretty typical for a Spider to do this.

I'm pretty sure if it had IBD, you're entire collection would be dead by now. IBD works really fast in pythons.

Heck, my NORMAL does this. Heh. if he's feeling active, he'll scale walls, and sometimes go vertical if he's feeling confident.

Another vote for normal here. Found my little female doing exactly this the other day. Got an adult male bumblebee who has scared the crap out of me a couple times lately by playing "dead limp fish" when i reach in to get him. then he wakes up and act normal.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.
