    Watering system.

K so thinking of auto water feeders, but I was wondering if instead of doing it the way I see it. Can I take the bucket and tubing and branch off from that tubing into the top of a normal rat water bottle? Just stick it far enough into the top so it keeps it filled up an doesn't fall out at the same time? I'm wondering because I have a ton of those bottles and I also seem to pick breeder males that like to chew on what ever they can pull into their tubs. They have blocks in there to chew but give them a water hose an they'll goto town on it in a second ha. So was just wondering if any of you do it this way? Hope I made sense I tend to ramble, an didnt wanna hijack someone else's thread

I don't think it would work because the bottles need to have a vacuum or else they'll leak. If they were attached to a gravity feeder, it couldn't hold that vacuum.

The auto water systems has clips that prevent the tubes from being pulled in. Otherwise I would have the same issue as you with rats pulling in their water lines.

    Here are the clips

No problem. Some people don't use them, but I definitely need them. If not, all my tubs would be flooded daily. Haha.

    Reptilebasics carries them.

+1 on those clips. I almost didn't get them when I ordered the stuff for the first system, but ended up being very glad I did. They aren't what i would call cheap considering what you get but it's worth it for the convenience.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
