I are woman, here me hisssssssssssssssssss.

Seriously though, we're awesome. All the other ladies, being all "EEKKK A SNEK!" are less than awesome. I lurv my scaley babies

    Funny story:
Many moons ago, when I worked at PetLand, there was a rather large (like linebacker) man and his 4-5 year old daughter browsing all the little aminals. I approached the little girl and asked her if she could hold anything in the store, what would it be. Snek! You got it girlie. So I go get a subadult children's python we had at the time, and bring her out to the little herper. She squeels excitedly and listens while I explain how to hold the snake. All the while, daddy is cowering in the corner. He agreed for her to hold it but would not get within 10ft of it. I finally looked up after she had held it for a while, cooing over it etc, and said to him "Your daughter is braver than you are, open your mind and your heart and you just may find a new passion!" I finally got him to touch it, and as soon as he touched it you could see he relaxed. It wasn't "slimy" and it didn't instantly kill him...Long story short (not really...) they ended up buying a little ball python weeks later, and up until the day I left (~4 years after they purchased it) they would come in every week to get food, and show me pictures of their happy healthy snek friend. I would always joke with them about how the daughter was brave, and had to hold daddy's hand to make him brave. She thought that was the bees knees. Being big and brave and all

Edit: My husband wanted nothing to do with snakes, and finally, after 4 years, he agreed to having a bp. Now we has 11, and planning on many many more ^_^
