Problem is feeding too often?

I have heard some say rats (particularly the jumbo sized ones) may contain too much fat and that it can be difficult for boas to digest. I havnt personally experienced this, but there it is.

It wouldnt hurt to go to three weeks. Try again in a week and if she is game, then that would be all the indication I need.

No, as far as we know she is a BCI. We got her from a rescue though, so we have no idea what age she is. I've guessed (based on looking at others) that she's possibly around 4-5 years old, but then again not knowing how she was raised makes it near impossible to tell just from looking at her. I've heard about the ratio of fat, but she's always eaten every two weeks like she was starving, and occasionally she's gone three weeks. I'll wait and see if she wants it next week.

My full grown BCI boy only eats once every 3 weeks, and every now and then he'll get a small meal in between. But at 7 ft a Large rat is more than enough to sustain him at proper weight and activity. Occassionaly he will get a Jumbo (for a month period) or a medium (for every couple of weeks) to change things up. Using this since he was 3 years old, he hasn't missed a meal in the last 7 years I've had him.

I'll switch it up then. Next batch of rats I get, I'll downsize and just feed more often or supplement with a small in-between meal if needed.
