egg tub question

so when you get your eggs you fill your tub with substrate get enough water to keep substrate wet but not dripping wet then do you use press and seal before you put your lid on? Do you open the tub once a week for fresh air?

also what incubator temps you all use mine is at 89 and what humidity level should my tub be at after all is ready?

if you go to home depot and get a light diffuser that they use in drop ceilings (little squares). if you look on here, you will find some pics of them. cut to fit in your egg tub. now you can get the substrate very wet. the eggs won't be touching the substrate cause they are on the light grid instead. a lot less chance of you messing up the ratio when not using the light grid. and I do open the container about once a week to check on the eggs. sooner if I think there's a problem or a problem might be starting. this will also let fresh air in. last 2 weeks before they pip, I peel back a corner of the press n seal to make a very small opening to leave fresh air in constantly as this is when they eggs require more O2. hope this helps don

89 is fine and 100% humidity is what I try for. they will do fine at lower levels, but if you do as stated above and get the substrate nice and wet, plus the press n seal. you will have plenty of humidity. just keep an eye that the eggs aren't getting wet by condensation dripping on them. if so tilt the tub some so the condensation runs down the side.
