Help on this rack please
http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/for/3736630846.html
Would YOU buy this? Is the price okay? Thank you! (:

I think that is a good price. Is it melamine or PVC? That will make a big difference for me. Melamine is soooo heavy, so a rack that big would weigh a ton. A PVC rack on the other hand would be super light and easy to move.

I can't tell what it's made of from the photo. If its MDF particle board which is what it looks like to me, I wouldn't use it as it reacts badly badly when damp or wet.

I called and it is melamine. Weight wont be a problem for me, my dad will help me move it, after that I assume I wont need to move it much.
As long as i dont get it wet ill everything be okay?
Thanks guys! (:

Any possible problems? is back heating good or bad?

Melamine has a plastic coating on it, so even if it gets wet it should be fine. I have a melamine rack that I built and it is holding up nicely, though it is crazy heavy and only about half the size of that one you are looking at.
Back heat is debatable. I like belly heat, but many people use back heat just fine. It isn't really good or bad.
