Finally! Top wishlist snakes - Angolan Pythons!

I had an amazing opportunity to purchase a 1.1 pair of Angloan Pythons from Chad Duggin this weekend! Chad was amazing and shipped them up first thing Monday. I am SO excited! These babies are amazing and Chad was great to work with. I have wanted Angolans for as long as I can remember. These babies are truly a dream come true.

These guys are out of some of the top lines available here in the US. The mother was from Trooper Walsh and is National Zoo stock. The father is Casey Lazik's line. The mother is dropping 14 egg clutches with multiple twins and every egg and baby is perfect. These guys should produce excellent offspring. In the meantime, I am just enjoying them! They are gorgeous!

    Meet Bongo, the male...

    And the female is Nandi...

I apologize for the poor quality pictures. I've never pretended to be a photographer.....

Angolans are awesome! I've loved them ever since I discovered them in 2008 and back then they were very hard to come by!

    How is their temperament?

The female is rather pissy, but she has not even tried to strike. She just huffs a lot. The male gives an initial baby hiss, but he's a bit sweeter. I think they will both be great once they are handled a bit more. The nice thing is that they have more of a boa's personality in a ball's package. And they have GREAT feeding responses and don't stress! I am in love with this species!
