    Should UTH cover the entire width of the warm side

    Just be extra careful it's not getting too hot. I measured directly on the glass once and they get up around 135'F when plugged directly in. way too hot!! lol. A regular wall dimmer switch is easy to wire up with the UTH to regulate it. But as far as size I'd say 1/3 would be safe. The glass will carry some of the heat past were the pad is attached. Long as the snake can be on the heat and off the heat fully should be fine
