    Paper is hydroscopic it attracts and holds moisture from the air. That said with 55% I'd not be concerned at all. The RH will be generated from the ambient RH and the water bowl size and shape. I am certain that if your room is 55% with a reasonable water bowl you will hold the mid to high fifties. This is perfect there is no need to have more.
