Thanks hehe. Underneath the aspen is a layer of eco earth...pretty much soil. I have a bag of repti bark I haven't opened too.
The temp inside the hide is 89 degrees right now, it'll probably warm up 2-3 degrees as the moss dries a little.

I added moss to both hides and the humidity is reading 65-70% now. Hopefully the moss stabilizes things so it's not so spiky.
Appreciate the advice & you're right...I probably worry too much. 6am now, but I can sleep knowing he's got good moisture now.

The real test will be checking on things in the morning, if it's in the 50% range or higher, then we're good.
I just didn't like seeing humidity in the 30's & 40's.

ps - do you guys ever mist the snake directly?
