Butter = Lesser?
Butters & Lessers are different names for the same morph right? If so, then a Queen Bee is also the same as a Bumble Bee Butter?

They aren't exactly the same, but they do look very similar. Yes you could call a bumble bee butter a queen bee.

From everything I have read the general consensus was that they are the same morph just different bloodlines produced at different times. So, if you bred a Pastel Butter x Spider or Butter x Bumble Bee would you call the possible offspring a Queen Bee or Bumble Bee Butter?

Re: Butter = Lesser?
IMO, they are the SAME thing bar the 'label' (and sometimes price)
I've lost count of how many times i've seen an animal bought as a Lesser, only for the new owner to re-label it a Butter
use your eyes and pick the best example you can find, regardless of what 'tag' it's got
Have a look on WoBP, most combos are 'Butter this' and 'Butter that' nowadays
i do wonder where they've all come from, considering 99% of them were called Lessers a few years back
SIDE NOTE - I only have Lessers here (and yes, some of them would put so-called 'Butters' to shame)
but i'm not the sort of person to try and squeeze a few extra $$$ simply by renaming the animal

This is exactly where I was going with this question! Personally, if I bought something as a butter I'd label any further morphs using the butter terminology and the same with lessers. No need in making it any more confusing than it already is.

Re: Butter = Lesser?
i would put it this way: In combos, when two or more genes are at play, they are exactly the same. Same super forms, same blue-eye-lucy combos, all the same. The more genes you add, the more identical they become.
If there is a difference, you see it in the single-gene version, colors may be slightly different because its different lines.
about the popularity: WOBP lists 193 morphs containing lesser and 132 containing butter.
yes, people tend to keep the lines seperate. If you dont care you can make use of it, if you work with lesser a lot and feel the need to get fresh genetics to avoid inbreeding... get a butter, chances are it will be really distantly related to your lesser stuff

Technically the lesser and butter are 2 different morphs, so according to WOBP a Queen Bee is a Lesser x Pastel x Spider and a Bumble Bee Butter is exactly that.
I agree the morphs are probably the same but different lines. A Citrus Flame is the exact same thing as a Pastel Fire. Just different lines.
Lesser = Butter
Citrus = Pastel
Flame = Fire
Sugar = Calico
I'm sure I am missing some but those are the ones that first come to mind.
