    I doubt that this is an issue since the skin will stretch, assuming the snake isn't severely dehydrated. I've had one or two split their sheds when feeding because they were only hours away from sloughing it off.

    But - I've been wrong before. I don't feed large prey, so I don't have much to worry about.
