Feeding amount - same for all snakes?

I was just wondering if the 10-15% of body weight rule for feeding applies to all snake species, or just ball pythons?

I only use it for young ball pythons and my retic (who's under a year old); for my colubrids, boas, and others I more or less eye ball.

I try and get it around that I breed own so it's easier but some of my snakes don't like that rule. My spider wants smaller to help with the wobble it seems, and the rest all have some kind of adjustment done but they gain weight and stay happy I just make sure to not feed too big did that with my first snake he failed to swollow it and then didnt eat for a whole after
