pairings? what would you breed next?

Ok, so I have no idea what I'd like to produce next. I got my visual ghost, which was a goal of mine. I got my pastave, which was another goal. Now I just have no idea what to striving for next. I'm thinking of breeding my female pastel to my male pastave, I know I can get normals, pastels, mojos, super pastels and possibly super pastel mojo. But does anyone know the estimated odd ratio?

I don't have many snakes but what would your next pairing be?
I have;
1.1 pastels
0.2 normals
1.1 het ghosts
1.0 ghost
1.0 pastave
1.1 mojo.

The male ghost and pastave are still a little too young to breed, but they will both be breedable soon. Once they are up to breeding age/weight, I'll be rehoming the het ghost male and pastel male. And possibly the mojo male.

Anyway, thoughts and ideas?

you can lose an entire day playing around with it, ask me how I know

not sure where you want to go as far as breeding goes, but you could sell off
the pastel and mojave males, since you have the pastave, and the het hypo male,
since you have the hypo(ghost) male, and use that to get
a nice 2 gene female to add to the mix, then go from there.

you could aim for super pastel, or for super mojave blue-eye lucy.

if the pastave is from your male pastel and your female mojave, you can maybe later go for super pastave (super pastel mojave) later on.

i would consider maybe getting 2 new females to later replace normal females, females with one or two genes. There is no hurry to do so, but its hard to get into multi-gene combos with zero-gene females.

i would want to work with the male ghost and male pastave, and im one of these people that really tries to avoid any inbreeding... for now maybe pastel x pastel, mojave x mojave, and just keep breeding the pair of het ghosts. i might or might not breed something to the normals. And then later, depending on what hatches, i would want new females to get new blood & genes, and would aim to buy another female ghost or female 100% het ghost for the male ghost, and would aim to sell the two normal females and the male pastel. it also depends a lot on how they are related to each other, i wouldnt like to do son-to-mother or brother-to-sister breedings, i would rather trade with other breeders or buy/sell to avoid it. so if i manage to get unrelated female ghosts or het ghosts i would consider selling the pair of het ghosts.

Number ratio wise that is?" mojo to mojo is 25% super mojave 50% mojave 25% normals. mojave to pastave is what you get when you split all the odds for mojo x mojo in half, and add pastel to one half. 12,5% super mojo 12,5% super mojo pastel 25% mojave 25% pastave 12,5% normals 12,5% pastel. See the pattern?

I do plan on selling/rehoming some of the males. As for my normal girls, they were my first 2 snakes. One I would possibly let go, but the other is soooo sweet, she's never once struck at me or even looked at me funny on feeding day lol. Trust me, I've thought about the 2 normals for a while.. I know I could make room for more. It's hard lol. Indigo is my favorite, she's the only one I trust fully around my 6 y/o and niece n nephews who want to dare and hold.one so if the day ever comes, I'd like her to go to a great home as a pet not a breeder girl.

I'd reallllly like to produce a queen bee. So maybe if I can sell the males ill have extra funds to add what I need.

its perfectly fine to keep some just because you like them very much

if you are attached to the female, keep it, if you want to breed it just get a 2-gene male that you can get back when you breed to a normal, like a lemonblast (pastel pinstripe) or pewter (pastel cinnamon) or something like that.

Or, since you said you like a queen bee, a lesser spider male would be something to aim for, you get nice offspring when breeding it to a normal female, and when you breed it to a female that has pastel in it, you have odds to get your queen bee. and lesser spider to mojo is also interesting, when mojave and lesser come together you get a blue-eye leucistic.
