    i was gonna ask about your rat tubs as well. how did you make the feeders? looks like pvc pipe, but how did you get the pip to sit in the screen like that? and what do the bottom of the feeders look like? i think we're gonna start breeding some ratties and i was thinking about setting up some tubs like this until i got a rack built.

    My awful step by step.. I forgot to take pictures. The hardware cloth is a pain to work with so I just rushed through it rather than taking pics.

    Basically, I cut a square piece of hardware cloth and put it inside a PVC pipe about 7" long. If you pull the hardware cloth tight inside the pipe, you can get it to stare there pretty easily with just tension. I like to put a couple zip ties near the bottom to keep it from falling too low.

    The bottom is also a piece of hardware cloth cut to be about the same size as the inside diameter of the pipe. I use all the loose edges to hold it all together. Needle nose pliers are your friend.
