Here's a quick update on where things stand after setting things up per my last post.
As of 8:50 this evening:
Tank 1: The temperature outside the hide (just on top of the hide) that is directly underneath the CHE is 90. The temperature inside the hide that is directly underneath the CHE is 84. The temperature inside the hide that is over the UTH (opposite side of the tank from the CHE) is 92.1 (the probe is between the substrate and the glass). I don't have a temperature outside the hide over the CHE. However, I have a probe set to the wall of tank, a few inches about the substrate, centered in the tank, and it shows 84.2.
Tank 2: The temperature outside the hide that is direct underneath the CHE is 87. The temperature inside the hide that is directly underneath the CHE is 84. The temperature inside the hide that is over the UTH (opposite side of the tank from the CHE) is 92 (again, the probe is between the substrate and the glass). The temperature on top of the hide over the UTH is 81.
I'm getting my temperature readings from a series of thermometers in the tanks. Tank 1 has two Exto Terra digital thermometers plus an Acurite with a probe. Tank 2 has two Exto Terra digital thermometers, an Acurite with a probe, and the HygroTherm's probe.
What do you all think about these temperatures? Anything I need to change?
