Just Blowing Off Some Steam, Sorry Everyone!
Something just hit me that I actually find disappointing in myself. Today I worked on my car a little bit, went to the gm and worked out and ran at the park, cleaned my snake/animal cages and fed everyone, and did a lot of tasks and things I enjoy doing. I went to print off the protocol pre-test to keep certified as an EMT-B and I stopped. I couldn't care less if I filled out that test and went to protocols and that wasn't the first time I had that type of feeling.
One of my instructors (not even an EMS instructor) told me that when you stopped learning, improving, and enjoying something in your life you should give it up. I think that goes doubly when that (albeit for a short time) involves the well being and care of others. Tomorrow instead of going to Pleasant Township for the test I'll probably just take my gear, radio, and uniforms back to the station so someone else can use them.
I hate to think that especially since I literally have one program left to complete for the associates degree, but I wont waste anyone's time or money for something I no longer enjoy doing. Sorry everyone, mostly myself.

Why aren't you going further? What about EMT-P?
Its hard to give advice based on what little info you have given but it seems like a rash decision.

Hahaha I take my EMT-B national cert test the 26th. But what I wish I could be doing is beginning to breed some BP's. I have to have something to support my future hobby which will In turn hopefully support me. :/

You mind as well get it if you're that close. It'd be something good to put on your resume no matter what you choose to pursue next.

Yeah, I would say just finish it, I get discouraged regularly with my studies, but I know that I need to finish something for a better future. I also know I will enjoy it more when I am taking more core classes and not the general ed classes. When you are that close finish it, you have a job, you will earn well I would imagine, and you can search out what you really want to do, but in the mean time you have to do something to support yourself, your family, your pets, whatever your situation is.

That was exactly my thought. Even if you're tired of it, just finish it out and move on. Like Mike said, it'll be easier to move on to something you do enjoy if you complete that. Just because you're trained to do xxxxxxxx or have a degree in xxxxxxx doesn't mean you're stuck on one specific path. Use that experience, training, or schooling to get your foot in the door to something you do enjoy. I have extensive experience in HF/Satellite communications, communication security, crypto/keymat and that type of thing. I'm now doing none of that, but it did pave the way for what I'm doing now. A lot of the issue I dealt with back then, I can apply to working in operations centers now. Take what you know and figure out how to apply it to what you want to do and be ready to show or explain to potential employers how that will benefit them.
It's your choice, but I would strongly suggest you first finish what you started and then move on...Good luck with whatever you decide.

I know I go through phases every so often where I just get burnt out on the things I like to do, be it ATV riding, flying radio control airplanes, or taking care of the critters. Or my job for that matter. No harm in that. I think it happens to everyone, but you might want to ask yourself how you might feel in a few years if you don't complete what you started.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.
