Palpating
Is there any point where the eggs might be damaged by palpating? Just curious. Thanks.

Palpating generally is for counting/checking for follicles, which aren't exactly eggs. In any case, it should be done gently as not to damage any organs.
When a female is clearly gravid and full of eggs, it's best not to disturb her much just because she's uncomfortable and you could potentially damage the eggs..

Palpating
No she really does. She's pretty good at it too from what I hear. Firm yet gentle, exactly how balls need to be palpated.

Not really, as long as you're gentle about it. Make sure the snake is relaxed and she can slide through your hands easily (wet your hands down before hand) It can be interesting to feel them as follicles and then note how they grow over time into eggs to the point where you can actually count the number of eggs that will be laid. HOWEVER, there are females that will get kind of pissy towards the end so don't force them if they don't want to play. They're often not feeling real comfortable at this point so be courteous.
