I'm going to be converting the back wall of my desk to a vivarium for crested geckos, and I'm wondering how many crested geckos would be happy living in the area. I'm assuming one, maybe two. The cage will be 9.25" wide x 44" long x 18.25" tall. The back and side walls are wood and will be covered in a plastic sheeting to prevent any problems from the moisture on the wood. I'm going to get some clear plastic and seal it onto the wood. The front will be made of mesh, however the bottom 4-5inches will be wood (or plexiglass) so I don't have to worry about substrate coming out of the tank. I'm thinking the front will be two doors, which open to the sides. In my mind, the finished product. Don't know if it will work out that way though.... Anyways, am I correct in assuming that one or two will live happily in there?? Also, anything else I should keep in mind when designing the housing? Thanks for the help!!
