Yeah, I'm only keeping one snake at the moment...at least for as long as I can resist the urge hehe.
I was worried that the tank would be too big too, but we'll see how he does with it.
When I set him down in it, he sat there a second, let out a yawn & began exploring.
Here's a pic:
The interesting thing is that he is using the temple as a hide lol.
I didn't see that one coming, I didn't think there was enough room in there for him, but I was wrong! He went in from the ground level right side, then later on he poked his head out the front door, then a few seconds later out the 2nd floor.
I was a little worried he'd stay in there since the temperature can't be warm enough in there (base is kinda thick), but I caught him coming out & went to snap a pic and he backed that ass up quick! lol
Pretty amazing how fast they can reverse...he shot back up inside the temple. I went into the office, so he's free to explore now without me bugging him.
Good point about the temps/humidity. The glass actually makes it easier to keep humidity up, but temps are a bit of a challenge. Especially since the glass is pretty thick.
I had a week or two to prep though, so I've been checking out the spots with my temp gun pretty often.
I have a thermostat and a thermometer/hygrometer with 2 probes on the way to help keep temps steady.
Thanks for the replies!
