What to look for in a Fire
I'm looking into buying a female fire, what traits would you look for in a fire?
I've been looking at this high orange female fire about half way down this page ....

what do you think? And how will this colour effect other morphs like Enchi, lesser, Pin??

I look for a reduced pattern and a nice head stamp. The fires act as a highlighter but may add the the pattern as well.

I prefer reduced Fire's aswell. She seems to have a nice color, but the pattern isn't something I would buy personally. If you like the busier fires, go for it That comes down to personal preference.

I'd pass on that female, the pattern is very normal looking imo. That fire phantom is nice though!

I like bright with busy patterns.

I like fires that are bright with a clean, reduced pattern.

For me, the fire as a baby should be bright yellow, the brighter the better. No orange! Big belly flames are a plus. Blushing is a huge factor for me. And a super bright headstamp.
Darker fires and fires that are orange as babies tend to have disappointing color as adults. An adult fire should be creamy bright, not dull.
Now, you can of course trade certain points for others. For example, I hatched out some bright yellow fires last year, and also one dark male. But, though the male is not high yellow, his blushing is just ridiculous and it more than makes up for his lack of yellow. Or perhaps you find a high yellow fire with only a few spots of blushing and very little flames on the sides. If the yellow is bright enough, that can counterbalance the lack of blushing.
It is difficult to find all the perfect traits in a single animal, that's why when you do find one that has it all, expect to pay a premium for it.
