Scariest feeding I've ever had!!
Before i start I want to say I know the dangers of feeding live and I am always prepared and responsible in case something goes wrong.
So I went to feed my big breeder female today, and when I put the rat in she freaked. She was way too nervous and just trying to get away. So the rat sees this and starts to panic, and what does it do?? Runs right inside the hide with the snake:/ so I picked up the hide and went to grab the rats tail with a pair of feeding tongs, and the whole time the snake and rat are In a jumbled mess freaking out...then wham!! She grabs this rat out of nowhere and scared the daylights out of me! And not a defensive strike either, she coiled and then proceeded to eat it. I've just never seen a snake that nervous and freaked out actually eat after something like that. But I guess she didn't get that big by refusing food...

Haha yeah that's what I thought. After reading this I realize it doesn't sound as scary or adrenaline pumping as it actually was, but trust me my heart was pounding when I realized what happened lol...I have a special skill for making crazy exciting stories sound dumb haha

This sounded way more funny than scary. I would have loved to been a fly on the wall for that one. It kinda reminded me of the post one of the members recently posted about the mouse that jumped out of the tub and was running all over the room.

My bumblebee girl is always a nervous feeder. She would twitch and freak whenever the rat touches it but at the same time it is always intensely focus on the rat and will grab it after a few miss strikes (she has the spider wobble)

I guess it was scary since the snake was trying to dig to china and I thought the rat was gonna bite the snake, an then outta nowhere the snake grabbed the rat. It's funny now, but def had my heart pumping at the time.
