Was that ovulation?
My girl was doing this weird thing, squirming some and seemed to be panting. I was so sure she was laying that I set up my incubator. When she was done, she went right to her hot spot that she's been avoiding for months. Was that ovulation? This will be my first clutch. Can you tell?

Hi,
No ovulation is a huge swelling with tail suck and they generally sit there looking miserable during it.
What your describing sounds more like taking a poop or farting. 
After ovulation they shed their skin and approx 27-32 days after that they lay their eggs.

Here are a couple ovulation pictures. If you look at your snakes regularly it's pretty hard to miss.
