Can someone explain "glowing" and when it occurs in the cycle?

Females will breed and start growing follicles, then shed and continue to breed while cooling themselves and growing their follicles.
Then they'll go into preov shed and after the preov shed they'll start to glow.
They glow until after they ovulate and go into prelay shed.

That's pretty much what I have experienced, although I notice my girls starting to glow way before their pre-ov shed. It's subtle, but if you pay attention you can see it. The glow is very noticeable right before they ovulate-in my experience, then after the pre-lay shed it starts to fade.

Here is a snake that I bought as a male in October, really dark and pretty. Found out it's a female because of glowing/ovulation


Here "he" is in November. I had not realized he was a she yet, but you can see the color lightened up a bit, especially on the head and neck.

And today, due to lay in 1-2 weeks notice the glow has really faded.



Here are some pictures of some girls several months before they ovulated, you can see the glow in their neck and head. You have to really know what they look like before they glow to notice it early on. All of these girls laid for me 4-6 months after these pictures.

This girls glow is always very subtle, but you can still see the little hint of a glow behind her head and on her neck
