Sadly that is the issue. Overqualified means they think you will expect more and or be looking for better work because you are not. I feel for the vet being told this I heard it a lot as well. It is about the most frustrating thing ever. It is not a compliment to hear "we would have hired you but though you would be board doing this job, you are over qualified for it."
