And there lies the problem, the hot spot should be 85 degrees. 90 is much too high, no wonder he has been more active. Try switching it to 85 and see how he likes it

x2. I keep my corns at 85-86 for a hot spot.

I bet he'll start acting like normal once that's fixed.
